Truth in advertising
We changed to National Bank after falling out with Head Office ASB last Xmas. I'm wondering if we should change again.
For all that ASB could be decidedly jaffa-ish on occasions, their internet banking & business service was white hot. You transferred funds or paid a bill, and it was done right then and there.
National takes at least overnight, and if anyone pays you, it can take 2-3 days to show up in your account. Besides which, do NOT believe the online balance as true and correct, because it operates on its own logic and may have no bearing at all on reality.
To add insult to injury, Wayne has been waiting since 8.30 am for the bank to return his call, to sort out an error they made yesterday. It's now nearly half past ten and the best part of his working day is wasted. He's decided to chalk this day up as a 'day off' (and we can't really spare any of those more than necessary at the mo!), and go into town and visit his step mum who's in hospital.
Maybe by then the bank will get back to him, sort out their problem, and allow him to do what he needs to do afterwards.
How does the post title factor into this?
As some wit pointed out to me last month, National Bank runs on one horse power....
Maybe I should lend them another couple of horses ;-)

Though attracted to the horse ad have never banked with the National... We did have a year of falling out with the ASB though before we took our mortgage and told them where to go.(sort of loses it's impact though when you have to say "heres the 100K I owe you and I'm never coming back" LOL) Do miss their internet banking.
